Building permits, September 2026: 99 new apartment buildings
In September 2026 the first building permit was issued for 99 new apartment buildings, against 85 in September 2025. Attica had 58 of them.

All of the month's rise came from Attica. By region, after Attica came Central Macedonia (10), the Peloponnese (8), East Macedonia and Thrace (8) and Thessaly (7).

Renovations: less insulation, more interior work
In September, 8,748 small-scale building works approvals were issued, 6% fewer than in September 2025 (9,291). Among the works declared:
